Former APC Minister, Mahmoud Tarawalie Reportedly in Police Custody
Salamatu Y. Kamara Former Deputy Minister of Health, Education and Lands, Mahmoud Tarawalie, member of the All People’s Congress (APC) is Reportedly at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters for questioning over an alleged incitement and prejudice of the Tripartite committee report in a social media audio he released a few days ago.
According to the report, Mahmoud Tarawalie in an audio called on his APC members and supporters to take the bull by the horns in letting the world know that they will not accept any outcome from the Tripartite committee other than a rerun of the June 24, 2023, Presidential election.
It was disclosed that Mahmoud alleged that President Bio never won the 2023 Presidential election for which the only report they as a party should accept from the tripartite committee is a rerun and nothing else.
“The US Ambassador has preempt, so we must also preempt, It’s not tomorrow, not next tomorrow but now” he said.
Mahmoud social media utterances have the tenancy of plunging the country into choas and threat to security should authorities concerns failed to take necessary actions now.
It is on this backdrop the Sierra Leone Police with the mandate to maintain peace and tranquility has summoned Mr Tarawalie for clarification.

This present government has done so much that is bringing our country to unrest on a daily basis. I personally don’t know if they are afraid of these APCs that is allowing them to be repeating their madness on our nation everyday. These APCs need to be thrown into jail permanently and also bring back the death penalty to start sending people permanently to where they belong so that our people will live in peace.
This is a crime? Bio nor geh shame. And to the loser that said “This is a country that is peaceful if anyone want to disturb the peacefulness of country should be brought to book , thanks sierra Leone police for your good work” do you think this is what is disturbing the peace? Where is the crime for God’s sake? I guess we no longer have freedom of speech. Bio did not win and yes, the Tripartite committee is already useless before their work is done. The election was stolen and you are going to put out a report that suggests how to do things better going forward and that is a solution?
We need peace in sierra Leone
Why did the former minister and the ones trying to ferment problems in the country, did not follow the law after the results of the elections were announced? Go to court if you’re or your oarty feels dissatisfied with the outcome of the elections as presicribed by the law. This is what has been happening over the past elections, so why some shortsighted APC members wants to take a different route when they feel agrieved.

What they allegedly said about the former deputy minister of health about the outcome of the Tripartite recommendations if it is true then, he has 100% right to express his feelings about the past election of June 24, 2023. The entire cabal of the SLPP and executives knew that the lost the 2023 June 24 elections, they use the soldiers and the police to intemediate people, but their evil deeds shall disclose very soon and they will be brought to book to face the consequences. No matter how they feel like they are powerful, they will not going to remain in power forever.
Some of these APC guys have no life but to create instability and chaos in our country.We do not want another set back especially when we are at a critical moment in terms of economic and infrastructural developments.Let us participate in developing our country but not to destroy it’s main fabrics of living in a civilized world.

Regardless of our political affiliation, such behaviour shouldn’t be encouraged in any civilised society. Such incitement can plung this nation into terrible situations. To stop this, people need to first know what the purpose of setting up the Tripartite is so that no one rouge politician can twist it to cause mayhem. There is a misconception among Sierra Leoneans and in particular, members of the APC about the concept of freedom of speech.. We indeed have freedom of speech in our country. What the illiterate APC supporters do not understand is that freedom of speech has limitations For example, that freedom must be exercised, taking the feelings, interests and safety of others into consideration. The freedom does not allow anyone to speak or write frivolously and irresponsibly. And because APC supporters ignore or are not aware of these limitations, they almost always find themselves in trouble. Instead of accepting blames for their stupid and unscrupulous conducts, they foolishly try to politicise it and cast blames on others.
This is disgraceful and disheartening.
If you think you are tired of being Sierra Leone then you can switch to different countries but mind you even in the USA we have limitations in any thing that you doing or sayings but in Sierra Leone one political party thinking Sierra Leone is only belong to them

You can never succeed in governance by trying to silence every opposition the June 23rd 2023 elections were full of irregularities commented by all and sundry observers.
Our people always say ” if you listen to the noise of the market you can never buy what you want to buy”. We have been in this since 2018 and it has never yielded any good fruits. Don’t you guys think it’s high time you make a U turn and think about peace and progress.

Sierra Leone is a very small community, why people are anticipating for conflict? Do people actually reflect their minds on the 11 years senseless war ? What did we actually gained from it? And mind you it has passed 60 years when we gained independent no single problem has been solved , so why are we looking for another destruction, is it for our personal gains or party gains, because if it is for the country nobody will preach hatred messages.
There should be a law that after elections, if any party is not satisfied with the elections and did not go to curt with evidence to prove their point about the elections according to the law of Sierra Leone, and later goes around saying or doing anything that would lead to the instability of this country, should face the full force of the law. This nonsense must stop.
