What we have been pointing out long ago is now in front of the public. Those who didn’t realize that the Court only used Alfred Peter Conteh as a pun; but that by appointing Chernor R. M. Bah (Chericoco) as the majority stakeholder of the majority faction of the two-faction 21 Man Committee, the Bio regime (through the Court system) had already shown since April 2022 that he (Chericoco) is their main captured agent.

What the April 2022 illegal ruling of Fisher and his recent interpretation of that illegal ruling has done for APC is to clearly identify who is actually behind the APC crisis. Now it is clear that the court so trust Chericoco that they gave him the party after overthrowing the old executive of the APC, and by allowing him the right to appoint the majority faction of the 21-Man Committee, the Court and the regime made Chericoco the actual power behind the beleaguered 21-Man Caretaker Committee. It was Chericoco that had the power and not Alfred Peter Conteh, even though it appeared it was Conteh who took the party to Court.

Now it is clear that Alfred Peter Conteh is just a part of the APC’s problem, but the real problem, and the main problem itself, is the APC’s parliamentary leader, and his appointed MPs. The lawyer, Alpha Jalloh who filed the petition for contempt charges against Alfred Peter Conteh is Chericoco’s agent in the 21-Man Committee. But his action for contempt had inversely helped clarify and show the hidden hand in the APC crisis.

It was obvious that Alfred Peter Conteh was going to be thrown out of the APC Caretaker Committee the same way Maada Bio and his NPRC colleagues used Valentine Strasser to overthrow the APC in 1992 and then kicked him out in 1996 when they wanted to take over the regime and turn power over to the SLPP.

Genuine APC members would now come to see what the actual problem of their party is. They would now come to see that the main danger to the APC and to democracy in Sierra Leone is the compromised parliamentary wing of their party.

However, the good thing is this: the choice is now made simple and quite straightforward. The veil that Chericoco and his MPs have used to mask themselves has now finally been ripped apart by their own design and by the constant pressure of genuinely independent voices who have been relentlessly pointing out the hidden agents of dictatorship in Sierra Leone.

Now Chericoco and his MPs will either have to return the party to its actual base; the actual rank and file of the APC, or they continue their treacherous coup against the party. Either way, the facts are already known that Chericoco and his selected MPs are the real problem behind the APC’s crisis all along because of a hidden flag-bearer ambition that they had nurtured even when Ernest Bai Koroma was still president.

Fisher’s ruling on the contempt charges is good because it will now help the ordinary mass of the APC to see that Alfred Peter Conteh was nothing but a mirage in a treacherous political chess game for leadership within the APC. Alfred Peter Conteh was actually caught in a political fire he knew nothing about: he was just a casualty of the treachery of the parliamentary wing of the APC.

it is time the APC and its general membership to now begin to inform Chericoco and his selected MPs that there are no more hiding holes left for rabbit politicians. The compromised opposition in Parliament can use Jesus or Mohamed to rescue themselves from the dangers of their own hidden agenda. Even Satan, their long time friend, has left them on their own since April 2022.

The lines have been so clearly drawn: the MPs and Chericoco will either have to show that they are with the masses of their party, or they are completely against their party and the national interest.

The choice is theirs to make and the world is paying attention to them.
