FC Kallon’s Alie Conteh has continued his fine form in the second half of the Sierra Leone Premier League.

The striker has reposed confidence to his teammates and fans of the club after netting his 20th goal of the campaign on Friday evening against FC Johansen as the Cavaliers defeated their counterpart by 2 goals to nil on home turf.

He has become the first player to score 20 goals in a single campaign breaking the record set by Musa ‘Tombo’ Kamara in 2019 when he found the net 19 times for then-champions, East End Lions.

Conteh, who is also nicknamed after French midfield maestro N’zonzi scored twice in the first half to help his club leapfrog rivals East End Lions into second position.

FC kallon’s number 7’s first on target was from the spot kick in the 27th minutes of which he converted with a cheeky Panenka sending Johansen’s goalkeeper, Dauda Bangura to wrong direction.

His second goal followed 12 minutes later when Daniel Karim outpaced FC Johansen’s fullback laying off a low cross which Conteh right footed into the bottom corner in the 32nd minutes.

The striker was awarded the man of the match award for his performances with fans hopeful that he will be selected for the National Team which is set to play an all-important AfCONQ match in June against Nigeria in Monrovia, Liberia.
