Leone Stars forward Mohamed Buya Turay has today met an unfortunate event of deprivation of his right in his mother land, Sierra Leone. The footballer on a viral video was spotted in the middle of disgruntled and angry Sierra Leoneans who denied him road access to his destination.

In the books of Sierra Leone, today is recorded as black Monday as citizens across the country on strike over unfavorable conditions of living in the country. Few days after the Sierra Leone Police released a strength warning to arrest anyone who is caught demonstrating without the SLP awareness, it has resulted that despite the warning, citizens still went to a strike today Monday 4th 2022.

Mohamed Buya Turay who has a football match to grace with other Leone Stars players unfortunately met some angry youths along Massigbe high way who denied him pass to Kono. As today is unofficially black Monday in Sierra Leone there are protests and strikes in other parts of the country including the capital, Freetown. At Massigbe, youths protested by blocking the road with sticks and stones.

As a Sierra Leone denied of his right to pass. Mohamed Buya Turay tried to engaged the youths by pleading to be granted access but insisted. They told the football star that his access to pass is denied as a result of the massive increase of the fuel price over these few months. They furthered that, it was an agreement they had made and Buya is not an exceptional. “No vehicles are using this route today until fuel price goes down again” they blasted.
