Premier League Champions Bo Rangers Suffer Shock Defeat to Wilberforce Strikers

Defending champions Bo Rangers FC suffered a shock 3-1 defeat to Wilberforce Strikers FC in the 2026/2027 Leone Rock Premier League at the MK 3/10 Field in Angola Town.
Wilberforce Strikers made a strong start to the encounter, taking the lead in the 10th minute when captain Mohamed Bangura reacted quickest to a rebound from the Bo Rangers goalkeeper to put the hosts ahead.
The hosts maintained their attacking pressure and doubled their advantage in the 33rd minute through Osman Kargbo, who finished off an assist from Paul Sesay.
Bo Rangers responded in the 43rd minute with a long-range strike to reduce the deficit and give themselves hope of a comeback before the break. However, Wilberforce struck again in first-half stoppage time, as Santhainahaj Bangura scored in the 45+1st minute to restore their two-goal cushion and make it 3-1.
Both sides created further scoring opportunities in the second half, but neither could find the back of the net. Wilberforce maintained their defensive discipline to protect their lead, while Bo Rangers were unable to find a way back into the contest.
Wilberforce captain Mohamed Bangura was named Man of the Match after opening the scoring and helping his side secure an impressive victory over the reigning champions.
