Leone Stars’ gaffer John Keister has announced his official 25-man squad today, Tuesday March 14, 2023, ahead of the double legged match against Sao Tomé and Principe.

However, two regular players Kwame Queue and Mohamed Buya Turay are missing from the gaffer’s list ahead of clash with Sao Tome.

It is not clear the major yardstick the Coach uses to snub these players from his list. However, Kwame Quee who has been training with the national team at home is currently without a club. The player recently confirmed his exit from Isreali Club Hapoel Haifa after mutual agreement to terminate his contract seven months after joining the club.

reports have also indicated that Forward, Mohamed Buya Turay refused to play for Leone Stars last in their last Friendly match against Algeria in the United Arab Emirates, and he has also not been scoring goals for the team despite several call up for national assignment.

The said home-and-away matches will play on the 22nd and 26th March 2023 respectively in Agadir, Morocco
