Four young Sierra Leonean under-17 players are set to start their careers with JFV Nordkreis in Germany upon completing a three months trial.

The four young players include Salieu Bah and Ziggy Brown both of Central Parade FC and Michael Kargbo of Old Edwardians FC and Santigie Fornah of Freetonians SLIFA.

The four youngsters have had prolific spells for their clubs in this season’s Sierra Leone Premier League with all of them making the starting lineups of their various clubs.

According to the Head of Communications at the Western Area Football Association (WAFA), David Turner, the players will be attending school in Germany and possibly sign a professional contract with the club when they turn 18.

The four youngsters will join another under-18 duo, Mohamed J.J. Conteh and Bailor Bah that left Sierra Leone for Al-Ain Academy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This recent development is believed to be a strategic move by the Sierra Leone FA to boost under-23 football and invest in future stars.
