Coach Alhaji Foray alias Abedi will be in control of Bo Rangers against CR Belouizdad of Algeria in the CAF Champions League in Monrovia after CAF told their Swiss-Chilean head coach Jose Solomon Cortes that he doesn’t have the required coaching qualification to be on the bench for continental interclubs competitions.

Coach Foray said in the pre-match press conference today that they’ve prepared well for the match and they’re going all out to win. He added that they’ve studied the tactics of the Algerians as they’ve watched video clips of some of their matches. He insisted that it means everything to them and the people of Bo to play in a continental clubs competition for the first time. The Elephant skipper Saidu Bah expressed similar sentiments.

CR Belouizdad’s Tunisian coach Nabil Kouki on the other hand also claims that he knows a lot about Bo Rangers and even talked about the Elephant’s players that were recently in the Sierra Leone national home based squad and in the U-20 national team. He emphasised that they’re in Monrovia to win and their main objective is to win the Caf champions league.

It’ll be the third time a Sierra Leonean team are facing an Algerian side in CAF’s top tier club competition after JE Tizi-Ouzou eliminated Real Republicans in 1984 and Mighty Blackpool knocked out Entente setif in 1989.
