Sahid Bangura Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has staged a citywide rally in Freetown to promote its inaugural Bravely T20 Premier League, which is scheduled to begin on October 24, 2026.
The rally, held on Saturday, started at the Kingtom Oval and passed through several streets before ending at Kallon Car Park in Aberdeen, where participating teams, cricket officials, fans, Kadat representatives and media personnel gathered for speeches, photographs and networking.
Addressing the gathering, CSL Chairman Francis Trevor Samura and Vice Chairman Nelson Williams reaffirmed the board’s commitment to improving players’ welfare and developing cricket in Sierra Leone. They also encouraged stakeholders to contribute to the growth of the sport.
Representatives of Kadat, associated with the league, welcomed the turnout and expressed confidence that the competition would provide an engaging and entertaining experience for cricket fans.
Meanwhile, preparations are continuing at the Kingtom Oval, where dressing rooms are undergoing renovation ahead of the tournament.
The two-month competition is expected to be livestreamed, allowing fans in Sierra Leone and abroad to follow the matches in real time.
The inaugural Bravely T20 Premier League marks a new development in the country’s domestic cricket calendar, with organisers seeking to strengthen the game’s profile and create greater opportunities for players and supporters.
