The Sierra Leone Female National Cricket Team will face Nigeria on Monday in the T20 International Tournament in Nigeria.

The Ladies Patriots left Sierra Leone on Friday evening for Nigeria to participate in the tournament with countries like Ghana, Rwanda, and Cameroon.

The team will play their second test against Cameroon on Tuesday before taking on Cameroon on Saturday.

The lady’s Patriots are believed to be one of the youngest in the tournament with a good number being players from the U-19 team.

The Sierra Leone Female team last enjoyed success in 2015 and 2016 when they won the North and West Africa Cricket Conference tournament back-to-back in The Gambia and Ghana.

The media team of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) has said that, as a form of motivation for this tournament, former Chairman, Beresford Bournes-Coker said he will give NLe 500 to any Lady Patriot that grabs the woman of the match award.
