Popular Tennis Coach of Hill Station Club, Amidu Dumbuya has called on Kelvin Kellie, President of Sierra Leone Tennis Association to step aside ahead of their elective congress slated for 4 March 2023.
Speaking to Cotton Tree News, Coach Dumbuya said that the third-term issue that President Kellie is looking to implement will not be tolerated.
Dumbuya said that he had supported and brought the President to where he is today, but he will not support his third-term ambition. He added that President Kellie needs to step aside and give chance to someone who has a passion for Tennis Sports.
“Tennis is completely dead across the country and we need somebody who will muster the verve to take our beautiful game to where we want it,” Coach Dumbuya said.
In response, President Kellie refuted Dumbuya’s allegations, claiming that his intention to contest has Congress’s approval.
He added that the delegates believed in him that’s why he got an endorsement from them.
