East End Lions Arrive in Bo Ahead of Unity Cup Clash With Bo Rangers
East End Lions have arrived in Bo ahead of their Unity Cup clash with Bo Rangers at the Southern Arena on Sunday.
The club confirmed on social media that the team had reached Bo safely ahead of the fixture.
The match is expected to attract significant attention as two of Sierra Leone’s leading clubs meet in what will be one of the final major fixtures before the start of the new season.
East End Lions are the defending Unity Cup champions, having beaten Bhantal FC 2-0 at the Southern Arena in last year’s final.
They also won the competition in 2024 after beating Bhantal 8-7 on penalties following a 2-2 draw.
Lions have named a 22-man squad for Sunday’s match, with Egyptian forward Magdy Gamal Fouda included after completing his move to the club.
Fouda’s signing was announced on Saturday morning, shortly before the team travelled to Bo.
Head coach Patrick ‘Pato’ Bangura has selected five strikers in his squad, giving him several attacking options for the encounter.
Bo Rangers will be looking to use home advantage when the two sides meet at the Southern Arena, with the match expected to provide an early test for both teams ahead of the new season.
