The Executive Board of East End Lions has today released a press statement debunking media posting by a sister club, FC Kallon purporting to have secured the services of player, Alie Conteh aka Ezonzi.

The club management made the following clarifications relating to player Alie Conteh on the press stating that:

That player Alie Conteh is still a registered player of East End Lions FC and is currently on a temporary release to the National Home based team for the CHAN competition.

That the player was secured on a year loan deal agreement from Goderich football Club and only

played few months for the club in the second half of the 2021/22 league season.

That it was agreed by ALL parties involved in the loan agreement that East End Lions will release the player if an international club were to request his services.

That EE Lions FC would be compensated from his international transfer as development fee. We are therefore perplexed by the statement made in the post of FC Kallon CEO Mohamed Kallon purporting to have signed a player from our club without our knowledge and approval.

East End Lions executive further extended that, their club is not averse to the release of the said player or any player wanting to leave the club. They added that, they want the general public and in particular FC Kallon, to know that any attempt to register and use player Alie Conteh (Ezonzi) in the CAF Confederation cup or any competition, will be met with the stiffest resistance from the club management.

In their concluding statement in the press release, the club assure its numerous fans and other stakeholders of the club to remain calm on this matter. They added that, the club will use all legal options at its disposal to ensure it investments in the player are protected and that the rules are adhered to.

“By this release, the president of the SLFA, Thomas Daddy Brima and his Executive Committee are accordingly informed.” The Executive of EE Lions disclosed.
