East End Lions played to an entertaining 1-1 draw at home against the crowd-pulling team, Waterloo FC, on Sunday, October 25, at the Trade Centre Playing Field in the Leone Rock Premier League.
The home side, East End Lions, started brightly and took the lead in the 22nd minute. Dominic Kargbo provided a fine assist for right-winger Alusine Turay, whose shot from inside the box beat Waterloo FC goalkeeper Mohamed Kamara (Fabianski) to make it 1-0 for The Killers.
The home side had a chance to double their lead in the 39th minute when they were awarded a penalty, but Mohamed Bangura’s attempt was saved by Mohamed Kamara.

The “Fry Fish Boys” came back stronger in the second half. Five minutes after the restart, they got their reward as Ibrahim Manika Sesay equalised for Waterloo FC with a header after being set up by a cross from Saidu Yillah in the 50th minute to make it 1-1. The newcomers came close to scoring again but missed.
