ES Troyes’ young star Moses Turay has today departed France to join colleagues in the Leone Stars Camp in Johannesburg ahead of Sierra Leone’s international friendlies against Bafana Bafana of South Africa and The Leopards of DR Congo on the 24 and 27 September respectively.

Before departing for South Africa, Leone Stars coach, John Keister held a press conference that took place at the Sierra Leone Football Association Headquarters, Kingtom. Keister described the two friendly matches as very important for Leone Stars’ growth and ideal preparations. He added that they are looking for different players and getting the right personnel for going into matches like the AFCON qualifiers and the friendly matches will help with the identification process.

He added that it is good to give Moses, the French League 1 forward a national call-up to tie him to play for Sierra Leone rather than France.

The coach further emphasized that it is not about winning all time. He believes it is about also identification, and building a group which means that by the time the team go into the qualifiers, they would have got a better group of players.
