FC Kallon Female team have won the maiden pre-season female trophy by defeating Ram Kay FC by two goals to one.

Ram Kay went in front in the first-half but their lead was cancelled in the second-half with a prolific goal from FC Kallon’s Kumba Brima.

Brima also got her brace shortly to put Kallon in front.

The Female Pre-Season Tournament attracted teams from neigbouring Guinea and Liberia but were sent home early.

The win for FC Kallon is believed to be a big booster for them as they prepare for the second edition of Sierra Leone Female Premier League scheduled for early next year.

In another news, FC Kallon senior male team have left for Ghana to play in a CAF Confederation Cup match against Dreams FC.

The Cavaliers will start their Second CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary Round on Friday, September 15. They will host their Ghanaian counterpart two weeks later at the Southern Arena in Bo.

The Sierra Leone Premier League club is looking to better their last season’s performance in the competition after being knocked out by Algerian side, Future FC at the same stage last season.
