As FC Kallon continue their training session at Angola Field ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary first leg fixture against the Les Buffles Du Borgou of Benin in Benin.

The team earlier this month unveiled five new signings to strengthen their squad as they make their third appearance in CAF competitions. According to A-z media, the General Manager of FC Kallon, Tunde Scott said his boys are physically and mentally prepared ahead of next month’s away tie.

He continued: “We are expecting a tough tie but we are no stranger to this competition, and our expectations are high. It is a dream for us to play again in the Confederation cup since 2012”. “We will do everything to make it to the group stage and we hope and expect to take advantage of that. I’m hoping we get a win in Benin”. Scott added

“Les Buffles Du Borgou is a very strong side, and we are expecting a difficult battle but this FC Kallon. We have already addressed the areas we had issues with. It’s a short time [ahead of the first leg] but we are doing well to focus on certain areas.”
Asked about their fan base, he replied “They know the importance of this competition, and they are behind the team. We have put mechanisms in place to get at least three buses for the second leg at a cheaper price to enable our fans to support the team in Monrovia, Liberia.

Tunde Scott ended by saying that fans are the 12th player and we look forward to seeing them in Monrovia a week after the first leg. As part of the preparation to compete in the 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup against Buffles Du Borgou FC of Benin on 11th and 17th September 2022

FC Kallon Football club has taken its players to Camp at the Island View Hotel in Lakka, Twenty-five at the moment are in Camp as the next batch of players are expected to join the squad after returning from their international assignment with Leone Stars Home Based side and the National U-20 Team. The team is presently training twice a day at the Angola pitch.
