CAF Secretary General has today officially communicated to SLFA President, Madam Isha Johansen that her POWERPLAY initiative for women and girls across the African continent has been officially endorsed by the CAF President, Issa Hayatou and the Executive Committee.
The initiative will use football to promote gender equality, positive values, and benefits for the promotion of women football.
Powerplay will play a vital role in CAF competitions especially the AFCON Women competitions.
A delighted Madam JOHANSEN who has left this evening for the UK to join Mrs Cherie Blair and other high profile female as guest speakers on women’s leadership had this comment to make on hearing the news.
