The Federation Of International Football  Association [FIFA] Players Status Committee has issued clearance of eligibility to the Sierra Leone Football Association on Friday 17TH December for Steven Roy Caulker, Issa Kallon and Jonathan Morsay to play for the representatives team of SLFA with Immediate effect.

This decision follows requests made by The Sierra Leone Football Association for change of Association of Caulker and Kallon, and seeking clarification on the status of Morsay.

The Defender Caulker, and the two wingers were under Leone Stars Coach John Kiester’s Radar for the African Cup of Nations.  The players would serve as a major boost for the Sierra Leone National male team against opponents like Algeria and Cote d’ Ivoire in the African Cup of Nations.

Steven Caulker has represented England in various junior categories, Morsay is a Swedish born while Issa Kallon was hailed in Holland. Issa Kallon and Steven Caulker participated in Leones Stars non-FIFA sanction friendly match against Morocco. The two players were very impressive as debutants against the Moroccans .

The Sierra Football Association must be commended for the successful clearance of eligibility issued by FIFA.  For the successful change of Association of a player, requires resources like time, lawyer etc. The timely intervention of SLFA to facilitate the legal process is a welcoming news.
