The President of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), Gianni Infantino has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on the passing of former Leone Stars player, Leslie Allen.

FIFA extended their condolences to SLFA in a letter dated 1 March 2023.

The said letter was addressed to SLFA’s President, Thomas Daddy Brima.

“On behalf of the International Football Community, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Sierra Leone Football Association. Most importantly, to Allen’s family Friends, and loved ones. Our thoughts are with all of you” he stated.

The FIFA President described his words as inadequate to express the sadness for this loss.

He described the late footballer as one of Sierra Leone’s greatest players, noting that his personality, his loyalty, and his human qualities will not be forgotten, and he will be truly missed.
