Mohamed Forbie scored in stoppage time for Mighty Blackpool to secure all three points against Ports Authority at Parade Grounds.

The victory has ended the Tis Tas Boys poor run of form which saw them lose second place position to FC Kallon.

Captain, Ron Gandi Williams opened the scoring for the host Blackpool in 10th minute from lay off cross by winger, Santigie ‘Santos’ Sesay.

In-form Joseph Cleveland leveled the match from the spot kick after Blackpool’s goalkeeper, Saidu Fatmata Kamara was penalised for a foul on Ports striker, Foday Kai in the 36th minute.

There was all to play for in the second half but scrappy passes from the host nearly gifted the Waterfront Boys a goal as Wilfred Conteh’s long range shot was saved by goalkeeper Kamara.

As the match edged towards the final third fatigued creeped in affecting the intensity the away side showed earlier.

The Waterfront Boys sat back and played counterattacking tactics but could not break the Tis Tas Boys.

Many fans at the Grounds thought both teams would share the spoils but corner kick by Santos Sesay landed on the head of Forbie to send the home fans into frenzy.

The victory has now seen Blackpool retain their third position level on point with second place, FC Kallon.

Meanwhile, Bo Rangers were held to a goalless draw by Freetonians SLIFA at Trade Centre Field. The Champions still remain unbeaten after 22 games. They are now leading the table with 11 points.
