After Leone Stars played to a 1-1 draw against All Stars Premier players at the Siaka Steven Stadium on Tuesday, Coach John Keister has received eight more foreign based players ahead of naming his much anticipated 28-man squad for AFCON

Khalifa Jabbie, Dutch-top-tier Side Cambur winger Issa Kallon, Persebaya Center back, Alie Sesay, Peterborough United Striker Idriss Kanu, Wycombe Wanderers attackers Sullay Kai Kai, Crotone Attacker Augustus Kargbo and former Chelsea graduate Kevin Wright.

A total of 21 foreign-based are presently in Freetown in readiness for their AFCON opener in January 11 against defending Champions Algeria at the Japoma Stadium.

Coach John Keister is expected to cut down his 40 provisional squad list to 28 by deadline given by CAF which is the end of this month

Since Leone Stars booked their place to the tournament in Cameroon, they have embarked on five friendly matches, a draw against Ethiopia and South Sudan, a win 2-1 over the the Gambia and before defeat to Morocco and Comoros

The Olembe Stadium will host the tournament opener between host Cameroon and Burkina Faso runner-up of 2013 AFCON.

The biggest stage of African football will run from January 9th to February 6th.
