Popular Sports Journalist Hawa Dauda Calls for Action Over Leone Stars’ Losses
Aminata Koroma Popular sports journalist and media head of Sierra Leone’s Under-20 national football team, Hawa Dauda, has commented on Leone Stars’ recent losses in a post on her Facebook page.
Dauda called on the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and the Government to take action if the team fails to recover the six points lost against their opponents, both at home and away.
She stated that if the players do not win back the six points, the SLFA should consider withdrawing them from all international competitions.
Dauda also criticised the continued financial investment in Leone Stars, questioning the value of spending money on the team while, according to her, players are receiving over $5,000 without delivering the expected results.
Her comments come amid concerns over Leone Stars’ recent performances and the points lost in their international fixtures.
