Kenema Kamboi Eagles head coach Francis Zappa Koroma has on Saturday 30th July 2022 clarified issues surrounding his potential move to East End Lions FC.

In an interview with SAH News Channel, Zappa said he’s yet to sign any contract with a Premier League Club, but has verbally agreed to negotiate a move to East End Lions.

He noted that he has been approached by EEL, and paper works are ongoing between the two sides with a deal expected to be reached.

“No! I haven’t signed any contract as of now with any club, because I still have a contract with Kamboi Eagles. Of course I have been officially approached by East End Lions FC. Negotiations are ongoing and I have already told the club of my intention to leave,” he maintained.

Asked what’s the details of the contract he has with Kamboi Eagles, “You can ask the club. I think they are in better position to tell you,” he replied.

Kamboi Eagles are currently having a stakeholders’ meeting in Kenema to look into the club’s status; which has been of concern to many, and the issue of coaches is expected to be discussed.
