Following to the official unveiling of the Leone Stars Winger, Issa Kallon, by the Chinese Super League side Shanghai Port, Issa Kallon has in Thursday had his first training session with teammates with the Chinese topflight outfit.

Issa Kallon signed a year-and-a-half year contract with the Shanghai Port of the Chinese Super League side after he parted ways with his former team SC Cambuur. The Dutch-born Sierra Leonean striker left SC Cambuur after five years contract on the 20th June 2022, as his contract expired.

Issa Kallon will play outside the Netherlands for the first time since joining Utrecht in 2014. On his last competitive game for cambuur against Groningen May 15, Issa Kallon netted a goal and assisted another in that game for his side in their 3-2 win. This was his last game as he bade farewell to the team.

Joining the Shanghai Port, the player is opportune to meet other Brazilian teammates in the team. Attacking Midfielder Paulo Henrique Soares dos Santos, former Chelsea attacking midfielder Oscar dos Santos Emboaba, and Senegalese’s striker Cherif Ndiaye are some of the big names at the club.
