Dutch football club PSV Eindhoven has announced a new four-and-a-half-year contract with 18-year-old midfielder Isaac Babadi.

The Sierra Leonean native, a product of the PSV Academy, expressed his delight at continuing his journey with the club. “PSV has offered me a platform to develop myself for years,” Babadi said. “This season, I even had the incredible experiences of making my debut in the Eredivisie and the UEFA Champions League.”

The young star is hungry for success, aiming to contribute to PSV’s championship aspirations this season and ultimately becoming a key player for the team. “I am very happy to have signed this contract,” he added. “This season I want to become champion with PSV and eventually I hope to grow into an important base player.”

Babadi joined the PSV Academy at a young age, making his professional debut for Young PSV in 2022. He impressed in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie last season, featuring in 30 games and scoring five goals. His talent caught the attention of the senior team, and he made his official debut for PSV 1 in the Johan Cruijff Schaal on August 4, 2023.

Since then, Babadi has become a regular feature for the first team, appearing in 17 games. He marked his first Eredivisie goal in February and has been gaining valuable playing time in every league match.
