Report within the corridors of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has intimated The Times SL Newspaper that major changes is expected to take place within the institution soon.

The Association, under the current leadership of the newly elected President Daddy Brima, is working tooth and nail to effect some major changes in the sector.

SLFA’s former President, Madam Isha Johansen, was faced with a lot of controversies throughout her twelve years of misrule and towards the tail end of her rule she was faced with betrayals. However with the recent election of the Association, a dramatic turn was observed as the government’s favorite, Kffie Nyakoh, lost miserably to Daddy Brima.

Drama has continued to unfold, when among prominent names like Ambassador Anthony Junior Navo, Chief Executive Officer, Africa Young Voices Media Empire (AYV), and Chairman of Eastern Lions Football Club, bowed out of the position of Vice President in the association, Rodney Michel, who for his entire career football has been fighting to serve as SLFA President, also bowed out, even when he was declared fit to contest for the position by the Court of Football Arbitration (CAS) after a long legal battle.

Rodney Michel spent all his life time as a football administrator, playing a great role in developing football in the South and entire country, but faced serious challenges and political intimidation under the past regime.

This many believe should have been his grace period, but was again forced to step down, according to some of his supporters, while supporters of Madam Isha strongly alleged that, she was betrayed by Chris Kamara, Secretary General of the SLFA, on fake promises.

Mohamed Kallon, Former Leone Stars Captain, who has sacrificed so much for the nation, was also denied the opportunity to contest for the Presidency in SLFA.

Sources within the Daddy Brima camp confirmed to this medium that, Daddy Brima is no longer at peace to work with Chris Kamara for fear of another betrayal, and it all set that, Chris will be replaced by Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esq, who has, for the past one month, been busy lobbying to the new leadership for the position of Secretary General.

With controversies surrounding the distribution of the One Hundred Million Leones to the Leone Stars team promised and delivered by President Bio after the team defeated Benin in Guinea to qualify in the AFCON, it is very much clear that John Keister, the National Team Coach, will be forced to serve as Deputy l, under Mohamed Kallon.

Most fans are of the view that Keister cannot do it alone and does not have the expertise for the national team to Excel in the January 2022 Africa Nations Cup in Cameron, his managerial and leadership style is one that is questionable, and obviously needs Mohamed Kallon to help him in the encounter.
