Prolific striker in the Liberian League, Ishmael Dumbuya has failed to make the final 25-man list of John Keister ahead of their AFCONQ match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Dumbuya who bagged 19 goals and 12 assists for LISCR in the top tier Liberian league missed out on the final list.
The striker was initially part of Keister’s preliminary squad training at the Southern Arena days ago.
In reaction to the news, President of the LISCR fan club, Hilary B. Johnson expressed dissatisfaction over Keister’s decision.
“It’s a very wrong decision to leave out the current best player in the Liberia Football Association Orange National League – First Division striker Ishmael Dumbuya of LISCR Football Club,” Johnson said in passionate letter to Keister.
The LISCR Fan Club President suggested that Keister should have selected Dumbuya in order to encourage their fans to support the team in Liberia.
“Honestly, we the fans of LISCR FC were preparing to be at SKD but right now, we can’t because our number 9 and MVP is out,” the President said.
That kiester is the problem of the team.you all do favouritism too much.a striker who plays out of the country and win the best player of the league and win the golden boot is left out?.the ones who played home the same league same players are better than the one who went out in a different league and prove himself.this guy is the problem of the national team.when will this country improve mentally by its people.
Its sad to be dropped after having a good season ,and i really dont know wgats the criteria for selection .I think one of our greatest problem is the coaching staff.
