Leone Stars Striker Augustine Williams has signed for USL Champions Side Battery on a two-year deal ahead of the 2022 rooster, pending league and federation approval.

The club announced Wednesday the signing of their new acquisition on their Official website . The Sierra Leone International, 24, says he is ready and excited to help his new club.

“I’m excited to be here in Charleston, and I can’t wait to get to work the Battery are a great club with a great history behind it” said Williams.

“I’m happy to be a part of the great team now and to contribute to making history with this amazing club.”

On the international stage, Williams , who debuted with the Leone Stars on June 15, 2021 during the AFCON qualification against Benin, was part of the AFCON in Cameroon.

He was pleased with his name at the international level at the just concluded AFCON in Cameroon.

“Being at the Africa Cup of Nations was an amazing feeling and something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life ” Williams told the club website. “it has shaped me into a different Player, mentally and physically.
Being there and learning everything I did, I believe it has helped a in preparing me for a successful USL Championship season.”
