AFCON 2021: Why Leone Stars Need Trevoh Chalobah And Yayah Kallon
The Sierra Leone national football team Leone stars is preparing to participate in January at the African Cup Of Nations. 24 teams are set to participate and compete in the upcoming tournament in Cameroon.
In recent times, the team has embarked on series of friendly matches with countries like Ethiopia, South Sudan, Morocco and Gambia as part of the preparation for the tournament. Leone stars has never passed the group stages in their previous AFCON qualifications
It is no secret that Leone stars will face tough teams like Algeria, Cote d’voire and Equatorial Guinea.

Though the head coach , John Kiester, invited Yayah kallon in his recent friendly matches in Morocco but the player couldn’t show up as a result of certain issues.
After returning from Morocco, the head coach stated in a press conference that he is not sure that Trevor ChaloBah is ready to play for Sierra Leone. With all these challenges, the Sierra Leone Football Association must do more to facilitate the presence of these players to be in Cameroon
