Leone Stars Arrive in Guinea Bissau Ahead of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
Bernice Bangura Sierra Leone’s senior national team, Leone Stars, departed Freetown this morning and have safely arrived in Bissau aboard Air Sierra Leone ahead of their 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐅𝐈𝐅𝐀 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐩 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟕 encounter against the Dromedaries of Guinea Bissau.
The delegation, comprising home-based players and technical and administrative officials, was led by SLFA Vice President 1, 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞, who doubles as the Chairman of the Technical Committee and also serving as head of delegation.
Upon arrival, the team settled into camp and is expected to commence training in Bissau tomorrow. Head Coach 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐧 has scheduled two training sessions for the day as he intensifies preparations for the crucial qualifier.
Leone Stars will face Guinea Bissau in what promises to be a decisive clash on Thursday, September 4, as the qualifiers edge closer to their conclusion.
