The Sierra Leonean national football team, fondly known as the Leone Stars, arrived safely at the Osvaldo Vieira International Airport in Bissau.

They were greeted with open arms and a hospitable reception by the Sierra Leonean Community in Guinea Bissau, setting the stage for their crucial clash in the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers against Guinea Bissau.

The warm welcome extended to not only the players and technical staff of the Leone Stars but also to esteemed dignitaries in attendance. Among those welcomed with enthusiasm were Madam Augusta James-Teima, the Minister of Sports, officials from the National Sports Authority, and representatives from the Sierra Leone Football Association.

As anticipation builds for the impending match, scheduled to take place at the Estadio 24 de Setembro in Bissau on Monday, September 11, at 4 pm.
