The Sierra Leone national team is back on the international stage as the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) confirmed the kickoff dates for the team’s opening fixtures in the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 qualification campaign.

Under head coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa, the Leone Stars enter Group E alongside Zimbabwe, Equatorial Guinea, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Sierra Leone will navigate two vital opening matches this September window as they target a place at the continental flagship tournament co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
