Sierra Leone upcoming friendly match against Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Saturday, 24 September is in serious doubt as the West Africans are presently stranded due to Visa challenges

According to Desmond Paine, the home based delegation is still in Ghana and hopes for a miracle to leave at midnight for South Africa and play on Saturday

The football philanthropist posted on his Facebook page “When you have square Pegs in a round hole, this is what you get. Two training camps for Leone Stars against South Africa. 11 players with foreign national passports by place of birth or staying are currently training in South Africa. While 9 players with Sierra Leone passports and administrators are presently training in Ghana while awaiting visas.

Huge chunk of taxpayers money is being wasted as a result of the incompetence of the ministry of sport and the National Sports Authority and the Sierra Leone Football Association. What a shame to see people who are always claiming to know out there put a whole nation to an embarrassment like this.People will see the truth and turn their back away from it.”
