Sierra Leone’s national football team, the Leone Stars, arrived in Morocco on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, ahead of their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Zimbabwe.

The delegation landed in Casablanca before proceeding to El Jadida, where the team will set up its training camp for preparations.

Team officials said the squad is expected to begin its buildup ahead of the match after settling into camp.

Sierra Leone will face Zimbabwe on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at the Ben M’Hamed Stadium in El Jadida, Morocco.

The fixture marks the start of Sierra Leone’s AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign.
