Former Goalkeeper of Kallon FC Aruna “Bangla” Kamara has received NLe 9,000 in fundraising donations from Leone Stars players after his successful spine surgery.
The Money was presented to the goalkeeper by the Leone Stars Head Coach, Amidu Karim.
During Leone Stars’ World Cup Qualifiers earlier this month, Coach Amidu Karim rallied around professional and local Leone Stars players to help former FC Kallon goalkeeper Aruna Bangla Kamara who is struggling to make ends meet after his recent hip surgery.
Amidu Karim couldn’t ignore Aruna’s struggles and spoke passionately about the player’s commitment to FC Kallon, recalling moments when his performances lifted team spirits.

Bangla thanked all those who supported him during this challenging time after being sidelined for nearly three years
The goalkeeper recently successfully undergone his spine surgery which stopped him from playing for the National Team and Kallon FC. The spine surgery was sponsored by the Sierra Leone Football Association.
