The Chairman of East End Lions Football Club, Anthony Navo Jr. has announced that the team will now be earning the sum of twenty-thousand Leones (NLe 20,000.00) as the match-winning bonus and also tendered an apology to head coach, Francis Zappa Koroma.

Chairman Navo in an engagement held with the technical team, players, and fans has announced that the team will now start to earn the sum of twenty-thousand Leones (NLe 20,000.00) as the match-winning bonus, which he said is among the continuous investment of the Club’s Executive Committee headed by him to ensure that they lift the 2022/23 Sierra Leone Premier League season.

This comes following the slow start of the team in the ongoing season, registering only three wins in eight matches played and five draws, leading supporters to demand the sacking of coach Francis Zappa Koroma after their recent goalless draw against Old Edwardians FC.

Navo Jr, however, tendered an apology to coach Francis Zappa Koroma, noting the Executive Committee was not pleased with the decision of the supporters, assuring him of their unending support, but maintained that the priority of East End Lions FC is to lift the championship.

Kemson Fofanah the skipper of East End Lions FC applauded the management for encouraging them during this difficult time and also for increasing their match-winning bonus.

East End Lions will face Central Parade in their next match in ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League.
