NSA Congratulates Sierra Leone U-15 Team on FIFA Tier D Tournament Victory
Aaron Parker The National Sports Authority (NSA) has congratulated Sierra Leone’s Under-15 national team, the Young Shooting Stars, following their impressive triumph at the FIFA Tier D Tournament in Azerbaijan.
In a congratulatory statement, the NSA Board, Management and Staff commended the young players for their outstanding performance throughout the competition, which saw them dominate several opponents with convincing goal margins before securing a 2-1 victory over Oman in the final of the World Cup and Festival Tournament.
The Authority described the team’s achievement as a significant milestone for youth football in Sierra Leone, noting that their success reflects the growing progress and development of the country’s football sector.
The NSA also acknowledged the leadership of Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Babadi Kamara, linking the team’s achievement to the strides being made in youth football development under his leadership.
Reaffirming its commitment to the growth of the sport, the Authority said it would continue to work closely with the SLFA to strengthen football development and improve all aspects of the game across the country.
The NSA concluded by congratulating the young players on their remarkable achievement, describing them as a source of pride for Sierra Leone.
