The newly appointed Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mohamed A. Conteh, has held his first official meeting with Minister of Sports, Augusta James-Teima, marking an early step toward renewed cooperation within Sierra Leone’s sports sector.

The meeting reportedly centered on strengthening institutional unity, promoting stability, and enhancing collaboration between the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority.

Discussions also focused on the need for coordinated strategies aimed at accelerating sports development across the country and improving Sierra Leone’s presence on the international sporting stage.

Both officials expressed their commitment to fostering a more organized, efficient, and results-driven sports administration that will benefit athletes, sporting associations, and stakeholders nationwide.

The engagement is being viewed as a positive signal of stronger partnership between the two institutions as efforts continue to reposition sports development in Sierra Leone.
