Old Edwardians Football Club has today, at the St. Edward’s Secondary School Compound May Park Kingtom opened the Book of Condolence for Lamin “Junior Tumbu” Conteh former Player of Old Edwardians Football Club and James Kemoh Koroma former Team Manager of Old Edwardians Football Club.

The Ceremony was witnessed by the President Old Edwardians Association Ishmail Sheriff Esq, Commissioner Hindolo Richard Senessie Chairman OEFC, Mr. Fredrick Wyse Principal St. Edward’s Secondary School, Chief Brima Keita Chairman Sports Commitee Old Edwardians Association, Mr. Amidu Karim Asst. Head Coach 1 Leone Stars, and Mr. Martin Maculey Team Manager OEFC.

Speaking during the event, the Chairman Old Edwardians Football Club Commissioner Richard Hindolo Senessie stated the Club together with the Old Edwardians Association are saddened with the passing away of these two prominent Edwardians and today is a manifestation to recognize their role towards the legacy of our beloved Old Edwardians Football Club.

The Club going forward will remember Edwardians who gave their unflinching loyalty towards the history of the Football Club ”Chairman Old Edwardians Football Club Richard Hindolo Senessie Stated.

Also in attendance at the ceremony were; Former Leone Stars Captain & Player OEFC Abu Bakarr Tostao Kamara, Mr. Amidu Koroma Secretary OEFC, Mrs. Alimatu Jalloh Principal JSS St. Edward’s Secondary School another prominent Old Edwardians, Teachers and Football heroes.

Declaring the book officially open, the President Old Edwardians Football Association Ishmail Sheriff Esq. stated these late Edwardians played a pivotal role in the development of Old Edwardians Football Club and today is a commitment to show the football family that their service will forever be remembered. He called on Edwardians home and abroad to “visit the St. Edward’s Secondary School Compound at May Park Kingtom in Freetown and register their condolence messages in rememberance of these two prominent Edwardians as a sign of respect to our fallen Edwardians.”

The remains of the Late Lamin “Junior Tumbu” Conteh will be laid to rest on Tuesday 24th May with the funeral service to be held at the Limba Pentecostal Church Fort Street Freetown and interment at the Kissy Road Cemetery.

Mr. James Kemoh Koroma former Team Manager Old Edwardians Football Club has been laid to rest on 16th May 2022.
