Orange Sierra Leone has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to sponsoring the FA Cup following a courtesy visit by the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, to the company’s leadership.
The visit, held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, was aimed at expressing the SLFA’s appreciation for Orange Sierra Leone’s sponsorship of the 2026 FA Cup competition and strengthening the partnership between the two institutions.
President Kamara, accompanied by SLFA General Secretary, Ing. Mohamed Benson Bawoh, was received by Orange Sierra Leone Chief Executive Officer, Aicha Toure, together with General Secretary Danetta Younge and Strategy, Transformation and Marketing Director Abdramane Kone.
During the meeting, the SLFA commended Orange Sierra Leone for its continued investment in football development, describing the company’s support as instrumental to the successful organisation of the 2026 FA Cup.
President Kamara also assured the company’s leadership that the Association is committed to delivering an even bigger, more competitive, and better-organised FA Cup competition next season.
The discussions focused on expanding the existing partnership beyond the FA Cup, with both parties exploring opportunities to support the Sierra Leone Men’s Premier League and the Women’s Premier League as part of broader efforts to promote football development across the country.
Orange Sierra Leone, in response, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the FA Cup for the foreseeable future. The company also expressed confidence in the SLFA’s leadership and its ongoing efforts to improve the quality, visibility, and commercial growth of football in Sierra Leone.
The engagement reflects the growing collaboration between the SLFA and Orange Sierra Leone as both institutions seek to strengthen private-sector support for the development of football at all levels nationwide.
