Sierra Leone’s Peter Bewie Finishes Third in 100m Freestyle at Dakar YOG 2026
Aminata Koroma Sierra Leonean swimmer Peter Bewie has finished third in Heat 1 of the Men’s 100m Freestyle event at the Dakar Youth Olympic Games 2026, recording a time of 1:23.04.
The 17-year-old’s performance marks his personal best for the season, earning him 174 Aqua Points in the competition.
Bewie’s participation signals the start of Team Sierra Leone’s swimming events at the Youth Olympic Games, with the 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke competitions scheduled for Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th October, respectively.
His performance represents a brave start to his Olympic campaign as he prepares for the upcoming 50m events.
