Ram Kamara FC Beat Mogbwemo Queens to Win Women’s Unity Cup
Ram Kamara FC have won the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Women’s Unity Cup after beating rivals Mogbwemo Queens 2-1 at the Southern Arena in Bo.
The victory gives Ram Kamara another trophy after the club’s strong performances in recent seasons and adds another chapter to their growing rivalry with Mogbwemo Queens.
The match was billed as a repeat of one of the most competitive rivalries in Sierra Leone women’s football, with the two sides among the country’s most successful women’s clubs in recent years.
Ram Kamara went into the contest as the 2025/26 Women’s Premier League runners-up, while Mogbwemo Queens were the league champions. The league campaign had also highlighted the strength of the rivalry, with both teams finishing well ahead of most of their competitors.
Mogbwemo Queens had previously won the Women’s Premier League title, while Ram Kamara have also established themselves as one of the leading forces in the domestic women’s game.
The Unity Cup final provided another opportunity for the two clubs to compete for silverware, with Ram Kamara eventually coming out on top in a closely contested encounter.
The SLFA introduced the Unity Cup fixtures as a celebration of the domestic football season, bringing together leading teams from the women’s and men’s competitions. The women’s final was played on Saturday, with the men’s match scheduled for Sunday.
Attention now turns to the men’s Unity Cup, where East End Lions face Bo Rangers today at the Southern Arena in Bo.

East End Lions are the defending Unity Cup champions after beating Bhantal FC 2-0 in last year’s final. They also won the competition in 2024, while Bo Rangers are the reigning Leone Rock Premier League champions.
The encounter brings together two of Sierra Leone’s biggest clubs and is expected to attract significant interest as both sides prepare for the new domestic season.
