The Leone Stars of Sierra Leone have played a 1-1 draw with South Sudan in a friendly match played today October 6, 2021.

Striker Sullay Kaikai opened the scoring for Sierra Leone in the first half of the game with a brilliant left footed assist from Right back Osman Kakay.
South Sudan was able to grab an equalizer in the 90th minute of the game leading to a draw.

The Match was part of the three friendlies scheduled for the Leone Stars as part of the teams’ preparations for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, where Sierra Leone have been paired with defending champion Algeria, two-time winner Ivory Coast, and previous host Equatorial Guinea.

The three international friendlies against The Gambia, South Sudan, and Morocco holds October 6th, 9th, and 12th, 2021, respectively in Casablanca Morocco.
