It is not a secret to Sierra Leoneans who have been following up to the updates and happenings in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League 2022/2023 Season. The league has shown optimism but yet the bqttle over who stays on the 1st psition of the league table get more intense than ever.

We have seen massive determination from clubs whether old or newly promoted teams to the premier league and support from fans sunce the league started few weeks ago. For instance, despite the Lamboi FC losing their games to other teams, they unexpected heavily hit the Bai Bureh Warriors of Port Loko and send the down the league table.

Newly promoted Republican FC has had matches and have played to the satisfaction of their fans as their first match with Bo Rangers FC was a massive success for the team.

As the league is ongoing and off course we are expecting the unexpected, we bring you match facts of the league season as at 5 rounds of matches played:.

⭕️ The defending champions Bo Rangers are leading the Sierra Leone Premier League Standings with 11 points out of five matches played.

⭕️ Mighty Blackpool, East End Lions, Freetonian SLIFA and Diamond Stars sit 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively with 9 points each.

⭕️ In week 5, 15 goals were scored across the country. A total of 76 goals have been scored by 59 players in 45 matches.

⭕️ FC Kallon Alie Conteh is leading the SLPL top scorers list with 4 goals out of 5 matches. Ibrahim Wotay of Diamond Stars and Mohamed S. Kanu have 3 goals each.

⭕️ 10 players have provided 2 goals in the league- Mighty Blackpool Ron Gandi Williams, Ibrahim Turay of Bo Rangers and Abdul Sesay of Freetonina SLIFA are all included.

⭕️ Saymah Kamara of Wusum Stars leads the assist chats with 3, followed by Alie Conteh of FC Kallon (2), Momoh Kamanda of Kamboi Eagles (2) and Salieu Bah (2)

⭕️ Alie Conteh of FC Kallon has made the highest goals contributions with 4 goals and 2 assists = 6

⭕️ Bai Bureh Warriors have scored the most goals in the league (8) followed by FC Kallon (7) and Mighty Blackpool (6).

⭕️ Diamond Stars have conceded the least goals (1) out of 5 matches played. Bo Rangers, East End Lion and Freetonian SLIFA have conceded two goals only. While Central Parade FC have conceded the highest goals (9) so far out of 5 matches played.

⭕️ Only Bo Rangers have won 3 matches out of 5 played.

⭕️ Kamboi Eagles, Ports Authority and Real Republicans are yet to record a win in the ongoing SL Premier League

⭕️ Out of the three newly promoted teams to the Premier League, only Real Republicans are yet to record a win out of five matches. They have lost 3 and drew 2. RR sit bottom of the table with 2points.

⭕️ As it stands, the three relegation teams are Ports Authority (16), Central Parade (17) and Real Republicans (18) positions.

⭕️ Ports Authority and Kamboi Eagles are the only two clubs that have played five matches with 4 draws respectively.

⭕️ 43 players have made assist in the league.

⭕️ out of 45 matches, 44 man of the match awards have been provided to players. Diamond Stars, Bo Rangers, Bai Bureh Warriors, and Kamboi Eagles have recorded four respectively. Mighty Blackpool, Freetonian SLIFA, Old Edwardians and Ports Authority have been awarded three man of the match awards.

⭕️ At least one of all 18 clubs have received man of the match awards.

⭕️ Mighty Blackpool Bureh G. Koroma, FC Kallon Alie Conteh, Freetonian SLIFA Abu Dumbuya, Ibrahim Wotay of Diamond Stars and Lahai Coker of Kamboi Eagles have all recorded 2 individual man of the match awards respectively.

⭕️ Bai Bureh Warriors and Bo Rangers are the only clubs to have recoded four different players wining the man of the match awards. Followed by Diamond Stars (3) Old Edwardians (3) Kamboi Eagles (3) and Ports Authority (3)

⭕️ 138 yellow cards and 12 red cards have been shown in the ongoing SLPL. 6 penalties have been recorded and 3 have been converted and 3 have been missed so far in the league.

⭕️ The best performing team in 5 matches played is Bo Rangers with 11 points – three wins, two draws and zero defeat
