Ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Birmingham 2022, Sierra Leone athletes are set to begin their journey in the Commonwealth Games on Friday 29/07/2022. 

Among the thirty-nine athelets from nine sporting disciplines that represents Sierra Leone in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Sierra Dolphins skipper Joshua J.JWyse plus three other swimmers are set to start their session on Friday 29/07/2022.

Joshua Wyse and Isha Kanu will be competing in the heats of the Breast Stroke and Butterfly categories at the Sandwell Aquatics centre in Smethwick West Midlands at 10:30 AM.

Joshua J.J. Wyse who is both a junior and senior Olympian swimmer will compete in the 50m Freestyle and Butterfly events. The Vice-Captain Isha Kanu set to compete in the 50m Breaststroke and Backstroke events.

The remaining swimmers,  Mohamed Kamara who benefited from a scholarship to train at the high facility FINA Development Center in Senegal last year will be in action in the 50m Freestyle and Breaststroke events.

Tity Dumbuya on the other hand is an Olympian swimmer set to compete in the 50m Freestyle and Butterfly events.
