The Leone Stars U23 National Team has arrived in Lusaka ahead of this weekend’s TotalEnergies U23 AFCON second round, second leg qualifier against Zambia.

The Ethiopian Airline carrying the team comprising 22 players and 15 officials touched down at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 15h15.

With the score tied at 1-1 from the first leg, the winner on Saturday at Heroes Stadium will meet the winners of Sunday’s tie between Egypt and Eswatini in the final round qualifier next March.

It was not the result Sierra Leone expected. However, the Leone Stars U23 Squad appears to be focused and determined going into the return leg on the Saturday 29th of October in Lusaka, Zambia.
