Sierra Leonean professional bodybuilder Edward A. Kargbo has secured a major milestone in his bodybuilding career after winning the Men’s Open title at the 2026 FLEX Weekend Italy Pro in Milan, Italy, on 28 June 2026.

The victory earns Kargbo a direct qualification to the prestigious Mr. Olympia 2026, scheduled to take place in Las Vegas from 24 to 27 September 2026.

Kargbo delivered an outstanding performance in Milan, impressing judges with his size, density, and conditioning to overcome a strong lineup of competitors, including seasoned bodybuilder William Bonac. His triumph at the FLEX Weekend Italy Pro marks the biggest achievement of his professional career so far and further cements his steady rise through the IFBB Pro ranks.

Representing Sierra Leone on the international stage, Kargbo’s latest success has sparked widespread celebration among fans and sports enthusiasts back home. Many have described his achievement as a moment of national pride and an inspiration for young athletes across the country.

Having built his reputation through consistent performances in global competitions, Kargbo’s qualification for Mr. Olympia now places him among the world’s elite bodybuilders, setting the stage for what could be a historic appearance for Sierra Leone at bodybuilding’s highest level.

With the Olympia season now in motion, Kargbo is expected to intensify preparations, focusing on conditioning, peak strategy, and stage presentation as he aims to make a strong impact in Las Vegas later this year.
