The Sierra Leone Football Association Artificial Turf construction project has received significant boost following the arrivals of containers filled with working materials today Tuesday January 9, at the SLFA Academy at Kingtom, Freetown.

With support from FIFA, SLFA is simultaneously and expeditiously constructing five top-notch playing facilities across Sierra Leone (SLFA Academy, Approved School Field, Port Loko Field, and Bo Coronation Field) to help defeat the longstanding problem of infrastructure in the country’s football.

The said projects, upon completion, will see a full package of a state of the art artificial turf, floodlight, perimeter fence, 100KVA generator, and 100-seater pavilion at the SLFA Academy Field, Approved School Field, Port Loko Town Field, and Bo Coronation Field.

The said facilities are expected to be completed and ready for action by the end of the first quarter of 2024.
