The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced date for the much anticipated ordinary congress.

“The Sierra Leone Football Association would like to announce to the public especially members of the football family that this year’s Ordinary Congress has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday 5th July, 2023,” the FA said.

The Ordinary Congress is an assembly that is to be summoned every year as per the FA’s mandate. The Congress is responsible to approve annual budgets and also look into previous expenditures of the FA.

It serves as the football parliament.

It comprises of all male premier league clubs, every district chairman, three representatives from each region, the Referees Representative, the Coaches representative and the football Heroes representative.

The body also have the power to approve members of standing committees including the Ethics, Appeals and Electoral Committees.
